Our history

At Della Maggiore Tile & Stone, we know the importance of craftsmanship and service, and we understand that builders need contractors they can count on.

Our commitment to our clients started the day Rich Della Maggiore Sr. opened the company in the Bay Area in 1970. Back then, our focus was on residential construction jobs. We developed a great reputation, and the company grew. By the mid-90s, we were doing work in a couple of thousand houses per year.

When the recession hit in the early 2000s, the residential market was impacted, so we took the opportunity to pivot. Della Maggiore Tile & Stone became a union contractor, and we began bringing the same quality and service we delivered in residential projects to the commercial market.

Since then, we have worked on hundreds of projects, including some of the most iconic buildings in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. We work to earn this privilege by holding onto our commitment to quality and service. That has resulted in decades-long relationships with some of the largest builders and developers in the country, and it sets the foundation for us to forge new relationships and deliver on successful projects to come.
